Use Shortcut Key to be more productive

Related to: [To-Do List with Google Maps !!]

Todo list provides a shortcut key to quickly add tasks.

This is what you do:

IE and Netscape/Mozilla users:

  • Whenever you open the iGoogle page. Just press Alt+Shift+A (from anywhere in the browser window) . Your cursor should automatically set the focus in the todo list task edit box. Now you can jot down the task right away without having to use your mouse to set the focus.

Opera and Safari users:

  • Whenever you open the iGoogle page. Just press Shift+Esc+A (from anywhere in the browser window) . Your cursor should automatically set the focus in the todo list task edit box. Now you can jot down the task right away without having to use your mouse to set the focus.

Leave your comments and share your experiences. I’m constantly looking to improve this gadget and your valuable feedback is really appreciated. I already have a list of “would like to have” features that many have requested. I will release a new version with those features.

windows internet explorer shortcut keys. mozilla firefox shortcut keys. application shortcut keys.

John - I tested with Adblock Plus in Mozilla and it seems to work fine. Can you try it on a different tab in iGoogle. It could be that the shortcut key is reserved by some other gadget.

    Hi Mahin

    Great gadget and massively useful

Maybe I am being stupid, but is there any way to set a task as done (strike it) without going into edit?

    Thank you.

    Cheers
    Neil

I’m thoroughly impressed!!! The only suggestion I have would be to enable a priority drop-down for sub-tasks.

Best ToDo list from a ToDo junkie.

Suggestion: would like to be able to edit the subtasks without going into edit…just by double clicking on the words.

thanks for helping the world get organized.

you have to allow “googlecode.com” to let this operate.
    Especially if you have/use “Noscript”

Love the to-do list. Wish you could color code for multiple users. When using it with three different users for instance…each task would have a different color depending on whose responsibility it is.
